This netsuke is made from the tip of a tusk of the African warthog. A small piece of the tusk had been lying on my worktable for a long time constantly getting into my sight. Finally, I just took it and carved these mushrooms. This work is reminiscent of the late English carver Guy Shaw’s carving "Fungi" although it was not my goal to copy his work.
