Since my first encounters with this insect during my childhood, I have been admiring its versatility and its ability to adapt to any condition. The mole cricket is able to perfectly run, jump, bury itself and easily move underground, fly, and swim. The unusual and fearsome appearance of the mole cricket leaves a vivid impression.

Netsuke is carved from the sperm whale tooth. This noble material has a great natural cream color. I slightly toned the depressions, trying at the same time to obtain the color of the raw material. I used plant matter for coloration. The eyes are inlayed with oyster shell (Pinctada margaritifera). The signature is on the insert made of apricot pit.

This netsuke is a wish to the netsuke owner to feel great in any environment or situation.
