This work is made to order and an antique netsuke carved by an early Japanese craftsman Kokei was its prototype.

The netsuke depicts mythic, imagined character of monster. I´ve tried to save the form and style, the only changed thing was posture. The mythic monster is singing its spring song.

The netsuke is carved of ebony, the eyes are inlaid with honey horn and jet. Later I carved a pair to this netsuke – Monster-lady.
